Troubadette is the stage name of Rose Duxfield, a performer, songwriter, and educator from Aotearoa New Zealand. Currently based in Ōtautahi Christchurch, Troubadette performs regularly as a musical comedian and cabaret artist.
Rose is also a fully registered primary school teacher. She regularly provides relief teaching cover both locally and nationwide. Outside of regular classroom teaching, she also works closely with PLAY Drama Workshops.
As well as performing her own work as a musical comedian and singer, Rose has also composed songs for other performers. She has been songwriting for over 25 years and has regularly taken part in online songwriting challenge February Album Writing Month since 2007.
